A leading provider in the hospitality industry wanted to move its work-from-home reservation workforce from a regional (employees lived within 50 miles of a brick-and-mortar call center) to a national remote footprint. After connecting with several Fortune 500 companies that have the same model, ProCulture helped this organization design a new workforce strategy then developed and facilitated management training for the supervisors now leading these remote workers. This new workforce strategy not only lowered the organization’s turnover but also increased reservation revenue by several million dollars.
ProCulture helped a manufacturer with six plants across the country improve its performance by helping plant managers and supervisors improve their leadership. For nine months, ProCulture developed and delivered two-hour workshops to plant managers with each session building on the previous. Topics included Management 101, Effective Communication, and Coaching for Improvement. This program expanded to sessions for assistant supervisors and focus groups for front-line employees. After 7 months, the COO and VP of Manufacturing credited this training for one plant setting a new production record. At the end of the program, each plant manager noticed increased employee engagement and morale and attributed this engagement to the new skills plant supervisors were using.
The administration leadership of an acute care hospital had improved their engagement and performance for three consecutive years and wanted to “take it to the next level.” PCC’s first step was to lead the leadership staff through a SWOT analysis. Armed with this information and with a goal of improving performance, PCC returned six months later to drill down into the opportunities and threats, developing specific plans to capture the opportunities and mitigate the threats. The final step in this program was to deliver a two-session leadership development program to senior leaders.
The executive leadership of a large manufacturer realized employees did not know or act out their core values. So they took this opportunity to update their values and determine the behaviors that make those values “come alive.” In partnership with the Director of HR, PCC developed and implemented an action plan that included employee focus groups, facilitated meetings with department heads, and a motivational and informational working session during their yearly executive team meeting. The new values are now embedded throughout the organization, positively impacting employees’ behavior and engagement.
MILLENNIALS AND WORKFORCE DIVERSITY
At the request of a large financial institution and based on The Millennial Challenge: How To Unleash Today’s Young Talent, a book Darren authored to help organizations attract, develop, and retain Millennial workers, PCC led an interactive Lunch & Learn to help employees value how Millennials will change the world and can change an organization. This dialogue was (and is) the entry point to understanding how diversity in generation, gender, thought, and personality make an organization smarter. Working together and valuing all people are the keys to a high-performance organization!
Darren has spoken to numerous industry association meetings, both national and local chapters, and has delivered motivational presentations to organizations across many fields and functions including finance and manufacturing, call centers and HR, private industry and higher education. Darren regularly delivers entertaining, engaging, and motivational presentations over topics such as:
How to build and the benefits of a healthy corporate culture.
Leadership: What is it and how to develop it.
Business and career success (based on his book 3 + 4 Equals Success: Skills and Mindsets Needed for Career Growth and Satisfaction).
How to attract, develop, and retain Millennial workers and how they positively impact a multigenerational workforce.
Delivering exceptional customer service to both customers and fellow employees.
